With the new year, we have some exciting new announcements!
qBraid is excited to announce the first cohort of the qBraid Alliance, a partnership with student organizations at leading universities around the country. Through shared leadership with students at the forefront of quantum computing, we aim to unite our efforts and work together towards innovation in quantum information science.
Each member organization of the qBraid Alliance will receive hardware and technical support to further their research and development initiatives. We aim to work in lockstep with them as they grow their reach to the new generation of quantum engineers, developers, and inventors.
Without further ado, here are their introductions!

Institution: The University of California, Berkeley
Organization: Quantum Computing @ Berkeley
Leadership: Jenny Chen, Nathan Song, Daniel Christensen, Yajur Preetham,, Lakshya Nagal, Prisha Singh
At Quantum Computing at Berkeley (QCB) we aim to support students on their journey towards the Quantum Computing frontier. We're an undergraduate run club bridging the gap between students, the quantum industry, and academia. We focus on enriching and engaging the community through research projects, guest speakers, lab tours, and conferences.
In the past, we've held the DeepTech Conference, an inter-organizational student conference with industry speakers from Classiq, Sandbox AQ, and IBM, that included ~100 attendees. Furthermore, we're part of the global Quantum Coalition that organizes annual quantum hackathons with >150 participants.

Institution: Harvard University
Organization: Harvard Undergraduate Quantum Computing Association
Leadership: Emma Yang, William Hu, Kseniia Burdiuzha, Joaquin de Castro, Jeffrey Zhou, Femi Ositade, Danny Yoon, Colin Zou
The Harvard Undergraduate Quantum Computing Association (HUQCA) is a student organization established in 2022 that engages undergraduates at the forefront of quantum computing research and industry. As of September 2024, we have reached over 300 students across all four class years and diverse quantitative disciplines (physics, computer science, mathematics, engineering, and more). We have hosted dozens of talks from leading academic and industry researchers at Harvard, Google Quantum AI, AWS, NASA Quantum AI Lab, Zapata Computing, and more. This fall, we are so excited to be partnering with qBraid on our inaugural Research Mentorships Program, where participating students will be receiving access to qBraid’s platform to work on quantum computing research projects under the mentorship of qBraid researchers!

Institution: Georgia Institute of Technology
Organization: Georgia Tech Quantum Computing Association
Leadership: Zhixin (Jack) Song, Rasmit Devkota
We are the Georgia Tech Quantum Computing Association, a student organization that regularly hosts scientists from academia and industry to share the latest research developments in the field. Our past speakers have come from institutions such as Harvard, Duke, IBM, and Quantinuum. We aim to provide a platform for students, regardless of their background, to explore and get started in quantum technology. Beyond that, we also provide opportunities to network and receive advice from experts in the field. This semester, we are working on a project testing quantum error correction codes on real quantum computers (proudly partnered with @qBraid).

Institution: Case Western Reserve University
Organization: Case Quantum Computing Club
Leadership: Lucas Smith, Sam Dyer, Alex Holden, Leo Chou, Jonathan Callejas, Luke Curran, Luke Sebold
Our club has had two general body meetings, with attendance of 30-40 new members alone, in which we have announced our partnership with qBraid. We've been in full swing preparing for our upcoming Fall Fest event on October 5th, which has taken most of our time. After the event, we will be distributing the qBraid accounts to those interested so that we may begin working on various quantum projects for learning and research. Many students have expressed significant interest in participating, and we are excited to begin work on the platform.

Institution: Yale University
Organization: Yale Undergraduate Quantum Computing
Leadership: Mason Abrell, Pranet Sharma, Alma Alex, Christian Kang, Brennan Lagasse, Danny Assi, Jeffrey Wei, Jeb Cui, Annli Zhu
The Yale Undergraduate Quantum Computing (YUQC) group was formed in 2020, aiming to connect Yalies with broader quantum computing initiatives at Yale. It has since grown multifold, running 10+ project groups every year, and organizing Yale’s premier quantum computing hackathon YQuantum. It runs active research and mentorship collaborations with Yale professors, as well as multiple industry partners, such as IBM Quantum, QuEra Computing, qBraid, and Alice & Bob. As a member of the qBraid Alliance, we are excited to join our partner organizations in furthering quantum computing initiatives together, while working with qBraid’s resources in our project groups.
